Our Local Chapter plans to work with members of the Legion of Mary and of St Maximilian Kolbe’s Militia of the Immaculata (MI) to promote Marian consecration as described by the great Marian evangelist, St. Louis de Montfort and his 20th Century Successor, St. Maximilian Kolbe.

We will attempt to work with both the Legion of Mary and the MI towards getting people consecrated to our Blessed Mother as well as devotion to the Miraculous Medal and Scapular. At St Vincent de Paul Parish there has been a major Marian Consecration organized by a Legion/MI member. Several dozen people consecrated themselves to our Blessed Mother on the feast of the Assumption 2006 using the method taught by St Louis de Montfort. These souls have given everything to Mary as will likely become more active and holy in both their private and public devotions and ministries. We believe that if we can get hundreds of souls consecrated to the Mother of God throughout Southern California good will come of it.

As part of the St Vincent de Paul Consecration our local chapter, in partnership with the Legion of Mary, donated 500 Miraculous Medals that were distributed at the Assumption Mass & Consecration.
